- !Circuit
- ==========
-
- Introduction
- ------------
-
- !Circuit is an easy to use circuit diagram drawer and editor. Create a
- circuit diagram and save it as a draw file to be printed out for your own
- use or as a data file to be edited again at a later date. It is ideal for
- presentations, school projects and lots of other uses. Text can even be
- added to label components. Nearly every component has been incorporated into
- this program, in total 100+ components and other essential circuit diagram
- elements such as lines.
-
-
- For those of you who don't read instructions
- --------------------------------------------
-
- On a tool/component window, opened either from a menu or from the tool box,
- left mouse button (select) selects the component. On the circuit, opened if
- a file is loaded or from iconbar, select is used to place an item or text
- and adjust is used to delete an item or text. The tool box allows you to
- select whether you will place or delete text.
-
-
- How to use
- ----------
-
- Double click on the !Circuit icon. If you have a multisync or other monitor
- which will support hi-res graphics it is advisable to use a hi-res mode but
- this is not essential and users of Arcs with a normals monitor or television
- will have no disadvantages as the output quality in draw will be exactly the
- same.
-
- When the icon is on the iconbar left click on the icon to open up a tool box
- and the circuit window.
-
- The Tool Box

- Components
- ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
- Click on the Components icon to bring up a window containing
- all of the circuitry components. Select a component by clicking on it and
- then move across to the circuit window. The pointer will then change and you
- can place the component on the circuit diagram by clicking select, left
- mouse button. The component will be placed on the circuit diagram in a grid.
-
- Lines
- ¯¯¯¯¯
- Clicking on the Lines icon brings up a window containing all the line
- symbols. Use this in the same way as the components window.
-
- Text
- ¯¯¯¯
- The Text icon allows you to place text on to the circuit diagram. Click on
- this icon to bring up a small window. Write your text in it and then click
- left mouse button in the circuit window where you wish to place the text. To
- use this function the system must first have seen the !Fonts application.
- The default font used in the circuits is Trinity.Medium although if not
- present a substitue will be used. Simply double click on the !Fonts
- application on App Disk 1 (RISC OS 3 owners needn't bother as the fonts are
- built into the systems ROM).
-
- XText
- ¯¯¯¯¯
- The XText icon, next to the text icon but with a big red cross through it,
- will change the pointer to a T with a cross through it. Place this over a
- piece of text you wish to delete and click right mouse button, adjust, and
- the text will be removed.
-
- Clear
- ¯¯¯¯¯
- This icon clears all the data from the circuit diagram. The mouse pointer
- will change asking you to verify the action. Clicking select or typing 'y'
- or 'Y' will clear the circuit, any other button will escape the option.
-
-
- The Circuit Window
- ------------------
-
- Clicking right mouse button on the circuit window will delete the component
- that the mouse pointer is over.
-
- Clicking middle button over the circuit window will open the main menu.
-
-
-
- The Menu
- --------
-

- ¯¯¯¯
- This allows you to alter the size of the circuit's workarea. To increase the
- size press the buttons in the direction of the big red arrows and to
- decrease press the buttons in the opposite direction
-
- Scroll
- ¯¯¯¯¯¯
- This allows you to move the circuit around in the work area, usefull if you
- wish to move the circuit to add more labels etc. Click on the buttons to
- move the circuit in that direction. None of the circuit will be lost, it
- will simply scroll to the other side of the circuit.
-

- ¯¯¯¯¯
- This allows you to toggle on and off the presence of the tool box. The tool
- box will appear if there is a tick by the option in the menu.
-
- Quit

- This quits the program. If you still have unsaved data a query box will
- open asking if you realy wish to quit with unsaved data in memory.
-

- ------
-
- To save click middle button on the bar icon and go across on 'Save ⇨'. To
- save as a Draw file go across on 'Draw ⇨' and drag the draw file icon to a

- the program to be edited at a later stage. You can drag either into an
- appropriate application directly.
-
-
- Loading
- -------
-
- To load drag a Ciruit file (file type &00C) to the Circuit icon on the
